Morning visit to Siyob Bazaar, the largest bazaar of the city. Free time to buy souvenirs and oriental sweets.
Mausoleum of Prophet Daniel.
Ulugh Bek Observatory (15th century). Ulugh Bek, Timurid king and scholar, authored his scientific works due to the unique observatory he had erected in Samarkand in 1420s. The giant quadrant placed inside a cylindrical building with a diameter of 48 meters (the remains of the foundation and trenches rediscovered during archaeological excavations in 1908) served as the main stationary tool.
